Groups & Social Activities
Getting out, meeting people and feeling part of your local community can make a huge difference to your wellbeing.
Our friendly social groups offer different ways to meet others, enjoy some company and build new friendships in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
CHAT Groups
Our CHAT Groups are purposely kept small, creating a friendly and supportive environment where people can get to know one another and feel comfortable.
They can be particularly helpful for people who would like to get out and socialise more but may lack confidence, feel anxious about joining a larger group, or simply prefer a quieter setting.
There's no pressure to join in with anything you don't want to do. Activities vary and might include quizzes, games, guest speakers, entertainment and occasional meals or trips out – but sometimes it's simply about having a cuppa and enjoying a chat together.
We know that joining a group can feel like a big step, especially if you haven't been out socially for a while. We'll take the time to get to know you and help you feel at ease.
Men's Group
Our over 50s Men's Group is a relaxed and informal get-together for local men who fancy some company and conversation.
It's open to anyone who would like to come along, whether you already know someone in the group or you're completely new. There's no pressure and no expectation – just a friendly place to meet people, have a chat and enjoy some time together.
Getting there
We know that transport can sometimes be one of the biggest barriers to getting out and about. Where possible, we can help people who might otherwise struggle to attend.
Talk to us when you get in touch and we can discuss what support may be available.
