Clare joined GVA five years ago and has spent the past four years working in befriending, job sharing the Befriending Coordinator role with Emma. She now steps into the role of Operations & Befriending Lead, supporting the day-to-day running of the new charity alongside her ongoing work in befriending.

An empathetic and approachable listener, Clare builds strong, genuine connections with the people she supports. She enjoys getting to know others and understands the value of a good conversation, often finding that simply taking the time to listen can make a real difference.

Alongside her warm and supportive nature, Clare brings a tenacious attitude to her work, always willing to go the extra mile to help others. Her combination of compassion, determination, and hands-on experience makes her a valued member of the team and an important part of the charity’s future.
